Lee Curtis serves as president and director of People & Culture at BSC Group. Since starting her journey with the company in 2004 as a wetland scientist, she has risen through the ranks to become the youngest – and first woman – elected to lead the organization in its 60-year history.

With a background in wildlife and wetlands conservation and degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Lee brings both scientific expertise and a visionary leadership style that has helped transform BSC’s culture and strategic direction. She has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s mission, vision, and values, and founded BSC’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action) Council, which has become a cornerstone of our evolving culture.

Lee has implemented a shared-leadership model that centers on collaboration, team empowerment, and accountability. In her dual role, she has also helped reshape BSC’s people strategy – launching mentoring programs, employee resource groups, and inclusive hiring practices that foster an environment where diverse voices thrive. Her leadership has been critical in guiding a firm-wide rebrand and five-year strategic plan that reflects BSC’s growing focus on climate resilience, environmental justice, and meaningful community impact.

Recognized for her ability to lead through change, Lee continues to guide BSC with a steady balance of purpose, agility, and empathy – impacting not only the organization but also the diverse communities BSC serves across New England and beyond.
