University of Connecticut On-Call Provider

For the last several years, BSC has been an on-call provider for the University of Connecticut (UConn) for various design consulting services including civil engineering and landscape architecture services. This work has spanned multiple campuses of the University system, including dozens of projects on the main campus in Storrs. Services that BSC regularly provides include the planning and design of roadways and parking lots, analysis and design of stormwater management strategies, design of utility repairs and upgrades, demolition engineering, construction oversight and administration, and third-party design review.

Examples of representative task assignments BSC has completed for the University include: site upgrades at the University’s Northwood Apartments; improvements to the Lodewick Visitors Center and Parking Lot 9 Improvements; upgrades to Jim Calhoun Way, a roadway located in the heart of the UConn Storrs Campus; and comprehensive upgrades to Glenbroook Road, a key access way to the Storrs campus.
