Tyler Street Intersection

The City of Pittsfield selected BSC Group to provide landscape architecture, urban and transportation design services for improvements to the intersection of Tyler Street, Woodlawn Avenue, and Dalton Avenue in downtown Pittsfield. BSC performed a field and base plan survey, collected traffic data and collaborated with city staff to prepare three conceptual design alternatives that will maximize available public right-of-ways and minimize impacts to private properties. Each will also include streetscape improvements such as landscaping design, lighting, site furnishings and sidewalk treatments.

BSC coordinated the City and Streetscape Steering Committee to develop a robust public engagement process incorporating a variety of outreach techniques and opportunities including public meetings and events, newsletters, and an online presence on coUrbanize, Facebook, and Twitter.
