Riverfront Park

BSC Group’s landscape architecture team assisted the Town of Orange in designing a .72-acre riverfront park on a former brownfield site. The community’s goals for the site included improved access to the waterfront area, as well as the creation of an attractive park setting for passive recreation and as such improvements include walking trails, benches, parking, a scenic overlook, and a boardwalk, ramp and dock area to support boating and fishing. Additionally, the park serves as the start of a proposed bike path between Orange and Athol.

BSC also led a public participation process and assisted the town with the preparation of applications to secure grant funding for construction of the proposed design.
