On-Call Siting and Permitting for Eversource Energy
BSC is providing on-call environmental siting and permitting services to Eversource, in Connecticut and Massachusetts, under an on-call Master Services Agreement (MSA). Under this on-call, BSC provides a range of environmental siting and permitting services to Eversource and its individual operating units to allow them to build and maintain their energy infrastructure and keep the company in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. BSC services generally support the maintenance and expansion of Eversource’s electric and gas infrastructure, as well as support electric distribution and gas distribution/transmission businesses.
Recent task assignments under this contract have included:
- Southwest Connecticut Reliability Project. BSC managed the siting and environmental permitting for the installation of a new 3.4-mile, 115 kV transmission line, substation improvements and line reconductoring.
- Transmission Right-of-Way Reliability Project (TRRP). BSC tasks include wetland field delineation and mapping, rare species surveys, identification of access routes, constructability walkdowns, permit application preparation, and environmental compliance monitoring.
- Pittsfield-Greenfield Area Solution Projects. BSC is managing the siting and environmental permitting of several new electric transmission lines, switching stations, and substation reinforcement projects in the Pittsfield and Greenfield areas of western Massachusetts.
