Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Grants

BSC Group, as a certified MVP provider, has assisted a number of municipalities with application preparation and program implementation of Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Planning Grants.

Through these efforts, BSC Group has effectively supported numerous communities in the performance of vulnerability assessments and action to prepare for the impacts of climate change. Clients supported by BSC include Amesbury, Athol, Beverly, Bolton, Burlington, Clinton, Everett, Georgetown, Hudson, New Marlborough, Sheffield, and Stockbridge, MA.

Importantly, BSC’s work has included both Planning and Action Grants through the MVP program. Innovative programs undertaken through the Action Grant program include urban heat island assessments, natural climate solutions/nature-based solutions, open space and recreation planning, resilient design for site reuse, and carbon planning assessment.

BSC is a partner in generating grant application materials, implementing funded programs, and meeting all requirements of the MVP process.
