Forest Hill Cemetery Master Plan

BSC Group provided the City of Fitchburg with master planning services for the 42-acre Forest Hill Cemetery and completed a detailed cost/benefit feasibility analysis to construct a crematory within Forest Hill Cemetery. The study involved compilation of cemetery mapping, topography and boundaries, as well as available utility information. The study evaluated the existing maintenance building, the remaining land within the boundaries of the cemetery, wetlands impacts, storm drainage, soil conditions, traffic circulation, topographic conditions and similar site information, and recommended areas for possible use as full casket burial or cremation interments/entombments.
