Fitchburg Urban Revitalization Plan

BSC provided expert guidance and support to the Fitchburg Redevelopment Authority (FRA) in completing the URDP Amendment #9 for the Fitchburg Downtown Urban Revitalization and Development Plan. This major amendment was approached as a new plan, revising the Urban Renewal Plan (URP) boundaries, goals, objectives, and actions to focus on revitalizing Main Street, enhancing the downtown business environment, promoting equitable growth, and improving access to the Nashua River.

Public engagement was central to our approach, and BSC facilitated numerous meetings with stakeholders and community members to ensure the plan addressed local needs and priorities. Our work resulted in a comprehensive, forward-looking urban renewal plan that positions Fitchburg for long-term economic growth and sustainability, while maintaining the historical and cultural character of the downtown area.
