Climate Resiliency Services for Cambridge Discovery Park

BSC Group provided integrated services for the redevelopment of a research and development facility with six new buildings and two structured parking garages. Cambridge Discovery Park is located within the 100-year floodplain to the Little River and required the application of Green Infrastructure design elements to compensate for the displacement of floodwaters caused by the site redevelopment. BSC utilized innovative stormwater management techniques to promote a combination of engineered and naturalized design strategies. The project resulted in an overall decrease in impervious surface and an increase in flood storage across the subject property. Notably, the project was the recipient of the City of Cambridge’s “Go Green Award.”
