Bridge Rehabilitation on an Access Road

BSC Group provided engineering services—including design and rehabilitation of a 400-foot access road, and the installation of a prefabricated bridge superstructure—to a confidential utility client in New Milford, CT. Due to lack of maintenance, the existing access road was in poor condition and no longer allowed for the passage of service equipment required to maintain necessary infrastructure. BSC provided an updated alignment and profile for the access road, while also investigating the feasibility of various structure types for the bridge component of the project, resulting in the use of a prefabricated structure that incorporates a precast abutment component.
