BSC Group’s Heather Hamilton and Matt Ciminella served as volunteer judges for Mass STEM Hub’s Design Showcase. The event, which took place at the Peabody Essex Museum, engaged a group of more than 100 middle school students. Young engineers were challenged to design and build a robotic pull toy using a variety of skills that they were taught earlier in the day.
Matt Ciminella stated, “I think that promoting access to STEM careers benefits all in the sense that it appropriates a new perspective into the field. Giving everyone a seat at the table both enhances those career paths while also creating social equity in society as a whole.”
