The Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development approved the Quincy Center District Urban Revitalization and Development Plan (URDP). Working under RKG Associates, who served as market consultant for the project, BSC was responsible for preparing the URDP. The plan, which comprises 55 acres of the larger 113-acre Quincy Center, provides a strategy for redeveloping two major city-owned parking facilities into mixed-use developments, in an effort to revitalize the surrounding area. It also recommends multiple projects for enhancing the pedestrian environment, creating new open spaces and attracting commercial development to Quincy Center.
