Peter Reed, PE, a senior transportation engineer and project manager, was tapped to comment on a USA Today article discussing alternative transportation devices. Peter discussed how the Complete Streets design process is accommodating a variety of roadway users, saying, “We used to design roads from the inside out, first for cars, then pedestrians and cyclists. Now we design from the outside in, addressing pedestrians, then bicyclists and then vehicles.”
