For nearly 34 years Mary Rieves has provided BSC Group’s clients and colleagues a warm welcome as receptionist in the firm’s Boston headquarters. Her positive outlook and cheerful spirit were recently recognized with the firm’s first service award.
This award celebrates Mary’s numerous contributions to the firm, including helping to acclimate new employees, providing administrative support for the entire Boston team, and working collaboratively with her colleagues in other offices. Mary has been especially helpful in keeping the BSC team connected during remote operations by providing check-in calls to staff.
In nominating Mary for the award, Alison Hunt, Director of Human Resources and Mary’s supervisor, said, “Mary contributes a sense of fun, camaraderie and positivity to the workplace, which goes a long way to lift employees’ spirits during difficult and challenging times like the present.”
“Mary was a natural choice for our first Service Award,” said BSC President and CEO Sean O’Brien. “We are committed to building on our strong culture here at BSC, and Mary exemplifies how we can all play an important role in improving our culture and making BSC a great place to work.”
As part of Mary’s recognition, BSC Group is making a contribution to Casa Myrna, an organization chosen by Mary to share in her award. Casa Myrna is Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence, providing safety, resources, advocacy and information since 1977.
The service award recognizes the contributions of our long-term colleagues who provide dedicated service to our clients.
