James “Jef” Fasser, AICP, RLA, LEED AP has joined BSC Group as Director of Landscape Architecture. In this role, he will be charged with continuing to grow BSC’s practices in the areas of planning and landscape architecture as part of the firm’s interdisciplinary service approach.

This design approach is reflected in a variety of project types, from “complete streets” streetscapes to public park facilities and downtown revitalization efforts. Jef also adds to BSC’s impressive foundation in the preparation of revitalization plans and Urban Renewal Plans, having worked with such communities as Holyoke, Quincy, and Worcester to develop and implement strategies for economic development.
Jef is a licensed landscape architect in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, and he currently serves on the Executive Board of the Boston Society of Landscape Architects, holding the position of Treasurer for the organization.
Jef’s approach to the planning and design of municipal projects is informed by his past experience working for the City of Worcester’s Department of Public Works and Parks and Planning Department, as well as the Worcester Redevelopment Authority.
