Last night BSC Group’s planners, landscape architects, and ecologists led a public forum to gain input that will guide the development of the Hudson Riverwalk.
Using a Story Map and dynamic map graphics, BSC’s team presented a history of the trail and its adjacent properties, including mill buildings, factory space, and abutments from a former bridge. These features were placed in context with existing natural resources and habitat, as well as local businesses and an active skate park.
Residents added feedback on routing, gateway treatments, invasive species, accessibility, and safety. This feedback will be used to develop trail plans that will create a public resource to be enjoyed by the entire community.
Visit the Story Map here to learn more about Hudson’s industrial past, plans for the future, and local priorities for the project.
