The Hingham Shipyard redevelopment project was featured during a workshop at the 23rd annual Build Boston conference at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. The workshop featured “lessons learned” for one of the region’s notable planned communities. The panel included members of the development firms – Sea Chain LLC, Samuels & Associates, Lennar Northeast, AvalonBay Communities, and Roseland Property Company – as well as a representative of the MBTA, which has been heavily involved with the project due to the location of a water taxi stop in the Shipyard vicinity. BSC served as the panel moderator. The workshop also featured a video interview with BSC principal Dick Cook, who has shepherded this project from planning through permitting and design, since BSC’s involvement began in 1996, but who was unable to attend the Build Boston conference.
