BSC's People & Culture team has established an employee resource group (ERG) for neurodivergent individuals and their neurotypical peers.
In response to employee surveys, it became apparent that more people have identified as neurodivergent and sought support to better navigate the expectations of the workplace and break down barriers in communication and tasks.
This neurodiversity ERG will strive to create an environment that promotes awareness, advocacy, and opportunities for professional growth, ensuring every employee thrives and contributes to the company's success. The ERG plans to host workshops and seminars focused on neurodiversity education and awareness, as well as provide resources and additional support for neurodivergent staff.
These initiatives can help neurodivergent employees feel more understood and supported at work. By providing tailored resources and mentorship, employees will hopefully gain valuable skills and insights to enhance their professional development. Additionally, fostering a more inclusive environment can lead to improved job satisfaction and retention among neurodivergent staff.
