The Elma Lewis Partners LLC team, which includes BSC Group, has been tentatively selected by the City of Boston as the redeveloper of Parcel P-3 in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood. The Roxbury community played a large role in selecting the development team and in the preceding master planning process. The team proposes to develop the long vacant parcel at the corner of Tremont and Ruggles Streets into more than 1.3 million gross square feet of mixed-use space including cultural, residential, office, retail, medical, and art educational uses. Elma Lewis Partners, established by the National Center for Afro-American Artists (NCAAA), includes Thomas F. Welch & Associates as project development and advisor, William A. Berry and Son as construction managers, Gund Partnership as project architects, as well as additional firms for legal counsel, permitting, and property management. To assist the team in winning this designation, BSC provided transportation and civil engineering support as well as attending meetings with the BRA and neighborhood groups.
