The Boston Society of Architects released its 2008 Design Award recipients, two of which were projects for which BSC Group provided civil engineering services. These award-winning projects include:
Sophia Gordon Residence Hall at Tufts University – Led by William Rawn Associates, this project received an Honor Award in the Housing Design category. BSA noted the project’s importance as the first “green” residence hall on the Tufts campus, as well as the first new building completed as part of the campus master plan.
Macallen Building – This LEED Gold residential property received an Award in the Housing Design category. Architects Office dA were praised for the building’s ability to negotiate different scales and urban configurations to project different facades that respond to their neighborhoods. This project also received a national AIA Housing Award for Multifamily Housing.
